About Us

BIG SAVE group trades in food and liquor across eleven outlets and one distribution centre allocated in the greater Tshwane area which serves both the Wholesale and Retail market in South Africa.

The family business started as Waltloo Wholesalers in 1989. In 1995 our BIG SAVE brand was established and has grown ever since, becoming one of Gauteng’s most liked Cash and Carry providers. Big Save prides itself in offering the best prices across a wide range of brands, with bulk volumes available to traders, serving the wholesale market, and smaller quantities available to the retailer – all under one roof.

Big Save stores are situated in the greater Tshwane area with Big Save Waltloo, Big Save Hammanskraal, Big Save Mabopane, and Big Save Tshwane Market Wholesaler as well as Big Save Evaton in the Vaal Triangle and Big Save Marble Hall Hyper in Limpopo. Each of our store’s sites has adjacent Big Save Liquor stores, with the exception of Big Save Evaton. By adding Liquor, House & Homeware, and Motor Spares to our Big Save brand it was just another way of adding value to the lives of our Big Save Customers, Employees, and Community.

In July 2018  we opened Big Save Hyper Store in Marble Hall, this is a great achievement and first of its kind for our brand with a new look store, offering a more quality experience, ample space, superior finishes, more ranging and better service offerings. These include the following departments all under one roof: Fresh Produce, Bakery, Butchery, Confectionary, House & Homeware, and Liquor.
